After Hurricane Irma, many places were badly damaged. But one place stood tall and walked away, for the most part, unscathed.

Porto Cupecoy is a wonderful residence which has everything a traveler could need. A grocery store, numerous restaurants, tennis courts, fitness center, and community pool. Since the hurricane, it has been more popular than ever with the restaurants filling up and live music playing at night.
There are numerous restaurants open in the promenade. Rendevous Lounge is a great spot for all meals of the day. And an excellent spot for happy hour drinks. Mario’s is a bistro with wonderful food and a perfect location looking over the Marina. At night it comes alive with lots of outdoor seating and energy.
The community pool is a wonderful spot to cool off. Each side of the pool gradually gets deeper for easy entrance. The deepest the pool gets is at the center at 4.5 feet. Great place for the entire family.
Looking for something to do without having to go too far? Try the free outdoor movie nights. It’s fun for the entire family. Sit next to the marina while feeling the ocean breeze. The most recent movie night played “The Greatest Showman.” Purchase food to-go from one of the restaurants and enjoy the movie.
One of the added benefits of staying at Porto Cupecoy is the beach is directly across the street and can be easily accessed. And, it’s right behind our Dutch side office! This beach is small and the water is calm. You can even view the beautiful white stone cliffs going toward Maho. Right above the beach is Cupecoy Beach Bar where you can get ice cold beers for $2 or any drink of your choice. This is a gorgeous spot to watch the sunset (as seen below)
